Palmetto at Hialeah
On thursday, March 29th, the Palmetto Panther baseball team traveled to Hialeah to take on the Hialeah High School Thoroughbreds. Pitching for the Panthers was Brandon Kacer, who matched up against Hialeah's Alexis Herrera. The Panthers were defeated 3-0 and were held to one hit the entire game. The Thoroughbreds lead their district (8A-13), while the Panthers lead theirs, (8A-16). Hialeah holds a record of 15-2, 7-0 in district play and are searching for a second straight state title. Palmetto currently holds a record of 12-6, 6-2 in districts, and hope to seal their lead in their district with two more wins. Palmetto's next game is Tuesday, April 3rd, at Coral Reef High School where they take on the Barracudas.
